From a question to a first attempt

The event aimed to give teenagers a chance to hear from professionals, ask their own questions and move from listening to doing. The programme ran for two days across two locations, including the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House in Kyiv.

Day one: five professional perspectives

The speakers were a developer, a producer, a chef, an investigative journalist and a civic activist. Their different backgrounds introduced technical, creative, practical and public-interest work. Questions from participants and direct conversations with professionals were an important part of the format.

Day two: a practical workshop

Participants worked on practical tasks in teams. Their work was assessed by a jury that included representatives of the Kyiv School of Economics, KPI and a school institution. The participation of individuals in the jury does not establish an institutional partnership with RealSkills.

What we can substantiate

One two-day event took place: around 80 teenagers, five speakers, two locations and practical teamwork. The photographs and video excerpts on this page are RealSkills materials from the event. We did not measure its long-term impact on career decisions and do not claim such an evaluated outcome.

Continuing after the event

An impression of a speaker can lead to a small next step: read a career profile, compare everyday tasks with your expectations and choose a safe practical exercise. Our career catalogue and educational reviews are also available to readers who did not attend the event.
